Will Ross, 40, passed away at 1:34pm on Saturday, December 1, 2018, at Alton Memorial Hospital.
He is survived by his Mother; Debra (Gibbons) Ross, his Son; Logan Daniel Ross, his Brother; Jordan Ross and his wife Thuy of Tampa FL, and Logan’s mother; Leslie (Langston) Ross. Also surviving is his maternal grandfather, Bill Gibbons (Carolyn), and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by a sister; Jennifer Marie Ross.
Will was born on May 28, 1978, in St. Louis, MO. He graduated from East Alton-Wood River Highschool, attended college at Eastern Illinois University, and graduated from Lewis & Clark Community College, with a degree in Arts & Sciences. He worked for East Alton and Collinsville school districts as a Technology Manager. In 2008 Will established Riverbend Computer Solutions, which he owned and operated.
Will welcomed his only son, Logan in 2011, who became his best “buddy” and the light of his life. His love for his son was witnessed by everyone that saw them together. Will had a passion for photography, and was a huge sports fan. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends and all that knew him.
In celebration of his life, a memorial visitation will be held at Pitchford Funeral Home (Wood River) from 2 p.m to 7 p.m. on Saturday, December 8, 2018.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to an educational fund for his son Logan, that has been established at 1st Mid America Credit Union.
In addition, family and friends can purchase Will’s prints from Picture This and More, Alton, IL. All proceeds will benefit the Logan Ross Educational Fund.
