Welda “Sue” Sutton, 86, passed away at 11:20 am Sunday, January 1, 2017 at Alton Memorial Hospital.
She was born on February 3, 1930 in River Mines, MO the daughter of Arlie & Beulah Mathews.
Sue married Joseph Sutton on March 29, 1953 in Flat River, MO and he preceded her in death in 2011.
She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Chris & Julia Sutton of Godfrey, two grandchildren, Emily and Max Sutton of Godfrey, a nephew and his wife, Ron & Jill Horn Lakeland, FL; a niece, Patrica Rehkop of Camden Point, MO, and a step daughter, Jan Harmon of Los Angeles, CA and many great nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by parents; two sisters, Wanda Horn and Norma Rehkop, and two nephews, Marc and Butch Rehkop.
Memorial services will held at January 14, 2017, at 1 pm at the 1st Unitarian Church in Alton .
