Warren "Rocky" Parrent, age 62, of Alton, passed away Sunday, December 23, 2018, at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis.
He was born August 23, 1956, in Poplar Bluff, MO, the son of Jim Dale and Rose (Byer) Parrent. Rocky was an active member of First Baptist Church of Fosterburg. He was a proud member of the United Steelworkers Union Local 3643 in Alton. Rocky had worked at Watco Mechanical Services and ASI. He loved welding.
He is survived by his mother, Rose; two siblings and their spouses, Mitzi and Ron Baker of Holiday Shores, and George and Kathy Parrent of Affton, MO; nine nieces and nephews; fifteen great-nieces and nephews; and many other relatives and friends.
He is preceded in death by his father, Jim; and his grandparents.
Visitation will be held Saturday, December 29, 2018, from 1:00 to 5:00 pm at Elias, Kallal and Schaaf Funeral Home in Alton.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, December 30, 2018, at 2:00 pm in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Troy Crain officiating.
Burial will take place Monday, December 31, 2018, at 1:00 pm at Wood Lawn Cemetery in Campbell, MO.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to American Heart Association.
