Warren D. “Warney” McClain, 74, passed away on Wednesday, August 5, 2015 at his home with his family by his side. He was born in Alton, IL, on April 5, 1941, son of the late Jack and Ruth (Campbell) McClain. On January 19, 1963, he married Nellie Webster.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by one daughter, Yvette (Marc) McLemore of Godfrey; two grandsons, Tyler and Todd McLemore of Godfrey; four special nieces, Pamela Day, Vanessa Caldwell, Tracey Redmond, of Alton, and Dionne (Terence) Mathews, of Los Angeles; one aunt, Ruby Robison; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Jack, John, Joseph; two sisters, Susan and Janet; and maternal and paternal grandparents.
Visitation will convene Saturday, August 8, 2015 from 10:00 until 11:00 a.m. at Harrison Funeral Chapel and Cremation Center. Interment will follow at Upper Alton Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to American Cancer Society.
