Waldena D. Frost, 92, died at 12:15 p.m. Monday, July 10, 2017 at Integrity of Alton.  Born June 5, 1925 in Tamalco, IL, she was the daughter of Louis N. and Martha (Goodin) Leidner.  In her early working years, during WWII, she worked with her sister at McDonnell-Douglas as a riveter on war plane wings.  She was an excellent seamstress and made many quilts and baby blankets.  She had a green thumb and kept many flowers and plants both inside and outside. Every meal she made was something to look forward to, not just the holidays but everyday.  She was a member of the Curdie Heights Baptist Church.  On February 17, 1946 she married Donald Frost in Carlinville, IL.  He preceded her in death on May 22, 2009.  Surviving is a daughter, Beverly Mabry (Roger) of Valier, IL, two sons, Ron Frost of Godfrey, Gary Frost (Willene) of Hebron, IN, a daughter-in-law, Tamra Frost of Brighton, five grandchildren, Jason, Scott, Ryan, and Kyle Frost and Roger Dean Mabry, 14 great grandchildren, and a sister, Helen Anderson of St. Louis, MO.  Along with her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Larry Frost, a brother, Harlan Leidner and a sister, Ellen Zdunek.  Visitation will be from 12:00 noon until time of funeral service at 1:30 p.m. Friday, July 14, 2017 at Gent Funeral Home in Alton.  Reverend Tom Olney will officiate.  Burial will be at Valhalla Memorial Park in Godfrey.  Online guestbook and information may be found at www.gentfuneralhome.com
