Virtus “Vic” Cook, 88, passed away at 2:30am on Sunday, September 18, 2016, at Eunice Smith Nursing Home in Alton.  He was born on March 26, 1928, in Albee, South Dakota, the son of the late Martin Luther and Emma Ruth (Nesler) Cook.  He married the former Audrey Niebruegge on July 15, 1950, in Altheim, Missouri, and she survives.  Vic and Audrey have three children: Dr. Vicki Cook of Los Angeles, California, Audrey Lynne Cook of Carmel, California, Fred Richard Cook who is deceased, six grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren, one brother and sister in law: Richard and Janie Cook of Cottonwood, Arizona.

Vic was a self - employed computer consultant.  He was a scholar, a musician, and enjoyed photography.  He was a member of Village Lutheran Church in Ladue, Missouri. 

In addition to his parents and his son he was preceded in death by a sister: Martha and two brothers: John and David.

In celebration of his life, visitation will be from 10am until time of funeral services at 11am on Friday, September 23, 2016, at Village Lutheran Church, 9237 Clayton Road, Ladue, Missouri, 63124.  Pastor Kevin Golden will officiate.  Burial will follow at Trinity ELCA Church Cemetery, 14088 Clayton Road, Chesterfield, Missouri, 63017.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the family.
