Virginia “Pat” Jones 83, of Jerseyville, passed away Saturday July 29, 2017 at Alton Memorial Hospital in Alton. She was born March 28, 1934 in Jersey County, the daughter of Otto and Adaline (McCartney) Kraushaar. She Married Kenny Jones in 1954 in Riverside California.
Pat worked for Roach’s Shoe Store in Jerseyville for many years before opening a grocery store in Michael Illinois.
In her spare time, Pat enjoyed taking care of her flowers and working in her yard. She especially enjoyed decorating for the holidays.
Pat is survived by her husband Kenneth Jones, her son Kenny Jones and wife Tina of Jerseyville. Sister Judy Byrd of Jerseyville.
She is also survived by her seven grandchildren: Stephanie Mckinnon of New Berlin; Eddie McKInnon (Jayme) of Jerseyville; Amanda Weber (Eric) of Carrollton; Michelle Wyatt (Scott) of Hamburg; Adam Webster of Hamburg and Kaitlyn and Amelia Jones of Jerseyville.
Proceeding her in death are her parents, daughter Gena McKInnon-Webster, Grandson Timothy McKInnon; two sisters: Marylee Barbery and Mable Duhnam and one brother Richard Kraushaar.
Per her request, cremation took place and no services will be held.
