Virginia Moyers

Virginia M. Moyers, 91, passed away at 1:14 am Wednesday, December 28, 2016, at Anderson Hospital in Maryville, Illinois.She was born on December 17, 1925, in Alton, the daughter of Ira Erwin and Bertha Mae (Faidley) Craine.Virginia married Pary W. Moyers on May 9, 1942, in St. Charles, Missouri. He preceded her in death on July 21, 2016.Virginia worked as an LPN at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Granite City, for Dr. Coffee in Willow Springs, Missouri, and as an OB Nurse for West Plains Hospital, in West Plains, Missouri, where she retired. She was a member of Rosewood Heights Community Church. In her spare time, Virginia enjoyed playing the organ, quilt making, and playing pinochle. She was known to be a very organized woman and most of all, was a very loving and giving wife and mother.Survivors include three children, Pary A. Moyers and his wife Rebecca Lynn of Alton, Rebecca Sue Moyers of Godfrey, Susan Marie Flynn of Edwardsville; thirteen grandchildren; twenty-one great grandchildren; and four great-great grandchildren. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; one loving daughter, Peggy Werner; son in law, Joseph Flynn; four brothers; and two sisters.A memorial service will be held at 10:30 am, Saturday, January 7, 2017, in the chapel, at Rose Lawn Memory Gardens in Bethalto with Rev.
