Virginia Jeane Fitzgerald, 96, died Sunday, December 29, 2024.
She was born October 27, 1928 in Alton, the daughter of the late Chesley and Eva (Shearlock) McKee.
On September 30, 1950, she married the late William B. Fitzgerald Jr.
Surviving are five children: Ronald (Janet), Sue Ellen (David), Aaron (Catherine), W. Leonard (Shelley), and Sylvia, 10 grandchildren: Stephen, Angela, Lori, Kelley, Jeffery, Margaret, William, Gregory, Katelyn and Vanessa, 11 great grandchildren and one on the way, one step great grandson and a niece, Zona.
She was preceded in death by a brother, James and a grandson, Chad Eric.
Graveside services will be private. Gent Funeral Home in Alton is in charge of arrangements.
