Virginia M. Breden, 91, passed away Friday, September 22, 2023, at her home surrounded by family.
She was born on August 5, 1932, to the late Albert and Loretta (Siemer) Mager. She married William L. Breden on February 9, 1952, he preceded her in death.
Viriginia worked as a custodian for Hardin Elementary School for 20 years. She was a member of St. Norbert’s Catholic Church in Hardin.
She is survived by eight children, Marian (Michael) Hagen of Hardin, Karen (the late Jerome) Elmore of Fieldon, Brenda (Mike) Camerer of Hardin, Kevin Breden of Hardin, Mike Breden of Jerseyville, Dennis (Julian) Breden of Hamburg, Dorothy (Mike) Bick of Hamburg and Mark Breden of Hardin; preceded in death by her late son Billy (Tammy) Breden Jr. of Hardin; 20 grandchildren, 42 great- grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren.
Virginia is preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Loretta Mager, her husband William Breden, a son William (Billy) Breden Jr., a granddaughter Kimberly Hagen-Bryant, a brother Carl Mager, and a sister Alberta (Mager) Thompson.
Visitation will be Tuesday, September 26, 2023, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Gress, Kallal, and Schaaf Funeral Home in Hardin.
Funeral Mass will be Wednesday, September 27, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Norbert’s Catholic Church in Hardin.
Burial will follow at St. Norbert’s Cemetery in Hardin.
