Virginia Anne (Moss) Eudy of Godfrey, IL departed from this life at her home on September 15, 2022. She was 92 years young.
Born in Christopher, IL on August 24, 1930, she was the daughter of Hollis and Lillian (Browning) Moss.
United in marriage to James Eudy on June 11, 1955. He preceded her in death on January 29, 1977.
Graduated from C.C.H.S., Christopher, IL in 1948. Attended S.I.U. Carbondale, IL and Lewis and Clark College, Godfrey, IL. Worked as a bookkeeper at Bank of Zeigler, IL and 1st National Bank of Wood River, IL. Retired as Multipurpose Aide at Senior Services Plus, Alton, IL.
She was a member of Upper Alton Baptist Church, volunteered for many years as Girl Scout Co-Leader and Cookie Chairman, and Treasurer of Curdie Heights Baptist Church in Alton. Enjoyed traveling, working crossword puzzles, playing computer games, and spending time with her beloved family, and was a lifelong Cardinals baseball fan.
Preceded in death by parents, husband, and sister Hilda (Rosie) Summers of Mechanicsburg, IL.
She is survived by two daughters, Kim Quon and husband Don, of Florissant, Mo, and Sherri Smith of Godfrey, IL, as well as 4 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild: Clay Smith, wife Brynne, and great-grandson Elliot of Madison, WI, Lexie Smith of Godfrey, and Drew and Hannah Quon of Florissant, MO. Also nephew Alan Summers and wife Mary Lou, daughter Shannon and husband Harold Hays, two sons Charles and Langdon and many friends and relatives.
Funeral services will be held at Elias Kallal & Schaaf Funeral Home, 1313 West Delmar, Godfrey, IL on September 26, 2022. Visitation at 11 am and Pastor Brad Donoho officiating at noon.
Interment will be at Valhalla Memorial Park following service.
Any memorials are suggested to go to Upper Alton Baptist Church.
