Viola Barker

Viola Mae Barker was born on February 14, 1943, one of eight children to Fredrick and Arlillian (Trump) Lorts. She entered into rest on January 20, 2024, in Neosho, Missouri, at the age of 80.
Viola moved to Neosho in 2020 from Illinois and was a homemaker. She had owned a ceramic shop and enjoyed crocheting and being with her family. She married Glen Barker, who preceded her in death in February of 2020. Viola is survived by her daughter, Michelle Vandygriff, and husband, Henry of Neosho; two grandchildren, Devin Vandygriff and Olivia Vandygriff and two brothers, Roger Lorts, Arizona, and Mike Lorts, E. Alton, Illinois. In addition to her husband and parents, she is preceded in death by five siblings and a step-sibling. Memorial services will be held from 2-5 pm, Saturday, March 23, 2024, at Gent Funeral Home, 2409 State St. Alton, Illinois.
