Victor Sandheinrich

Victor Libore Sandheinrich, 89, of Belleville, IL, born May 21, 1936, in Johannisburg Township, IL, passed away Thursday, March 19, 2026, at Addington Place, Shiloh, IL.

Victor dedicated 24 years of service as a fire fighter for the Belleville Fire Department before his retirement. He was a member of St. Mary’s Parish and the retired firefighter’s group at the Knights of Columbus.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 64 years, Dorothy Carolyn Sandheinrich, nee Frisch, whom he married on May 7, 1955, and who died on July 29, 2019; his parents, Frank and Rose, nee Koeller, Sandheinrich; and four brothers, Albert, Robert, Andrew, and Leonard Sandeinrich.

Surviving are his two sons, Mark (Karen) Sandheinrich, and Steven (Michelle) Sandheinrich; one daughter, Viki (Steve) Brown; six grandchildren; Jeremy (Christine) Sandheinrich, Justin (Sarah) Sandheinrich, Paul (Niki) Brown, Elizabeth (Kory) White, Allison Brown, and Jennifer (Matthew) Proscino; nine great-grandchildren; Michael, Josephine, Kaylee, Aspen, Aidan, Zoey, Hayden, Kinsley, and Lainey; and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family would like to give special thanks to the staff at Addington Place of Shiloh, IL and to Heartland Hospice for their excellent care and loving attention to Dad.

Visitation: Friends may visit from 9 to 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, March 25, 2026, at St. Mary Catholic Church, Belleville, IL.

Funeral: A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, March 25, 2026, at St. Mary Catholic Church, Belleville, IL, with Msgr. William McGhee officiating.

Burial will be at Lake View Memorial Gardens, Fairview Heights, IL.
