Verla Schroeder

Verla N Schroeder, 85, of Brighton passed away peacefully at 9:20 am on Tues Oct 17, 2017. She was born on Feb 24, 1932 in Alton to Leroy E & Emma H (Schneble) Holland.She married Harvey W Schroeder on March 15, 1952 in Brighton. He passed away Dec 15, 2015. She is survived by a daughter & son in law; Nancy & Edward Cochran of Brighton and son; Dean Schroeder of Maryland Heights, MO.
Verla was a farmer’s wife, helping on the family farm. She was also a member of the Rebekah Lodge in Brighton and she was an Alton Memorial Hospital volunteer.She was preceded in death by her husband, Harvey, brother; Leroy E Holland and her parents. Visitation will be 2-5 Sun Oct 22, 2017 at Targhetta & Wooldridge F H in Brighton Funeral Services will be at 10 am at the St John’s United Church of Christ in Brighton on Mon Oct 23, 2017       Burial will be in Brighton Cemetery Memorials may be made to Brighton Betsey Ann Fire Protection District “Volunteer Firefighter Fund” or a charity of one’s choice.
