Vera Lucille Noel, 94, went home to be with Jesus at 7:15 p.m. Monday, December 11, 2017 at Rosewood Care Center in Edwardsville.
Born November 16, 1923 in Batchtown, she was the daughter of Lester and Clarissa (Baine) Miller.
She had been a C.N.A. for St. Anthony's Hospital in Alton for over 40 years before retiring.
Surviving are a son, Michael Noel of Biloxi, MS; two daughters, Bonnie Bergmann of East Alton, Linda (Joe) Chetta of Alton; six grandchildren; several great and great-great grandchildren.
Her parents; daughters, Barbara Proffer, Joan Ann Noel; sisters, Betty Little, Margaret Edelen and Mary Thomas; and brothers, Lester, Kenny, Elmer, Ernest and Gary Miller preceded her in death.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m. Thursday at Marks Mortuary in Wood River. Rev. Joe Chetta will officiate.
Burial will follow in Upper Alton Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the Women's Ministry Center.
