Vanessa R. Boyd, 62, passed away Friday, June 5, 2026.
Born Oct. 26, 1963 in Alton, she was a daughter of Arthur D. and Carol Ann (Lilley) Garland.
She married William J. Boyd May 3, 1997. He preceded her in death on Nov. 16, 2024.
A graduate of Civic Memorial High School, Vanessa loved spending time with her grandchildren. She also enjoyed growing beautiful flowers in her garden.
She is survived by two daughters, Adair (Eric) Graham of Alton and Jasmine (Cory) Wilkinson of Shiloh; 4 grandchildren, Oliver, Lyla and Jaycee Wilkinson and Sophia Graham; a sister, Patricia (Ross) Huff of Alhambra; a brother, Art (Kimberly) Garland of Nokomis; three nephews, Adam (Sarah) Huff of Wood River, Philip (Gina) Huff of Hamel, and Nate (Hannah) Garland of Coffeen; Several great nieces and nephews; and her beloved dog, Lilley-Jo.
Memorial visitation will be Tuesday, June 23 at Paynic Home for Funerals from 11 a.m. until memorial services begin at 1 p.m.
