Tracy Sweeten

Tracy Lin Sweeten, age 51, of Whitehall, passed away Wednesday, July 30, 2014, at Whitehall Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.She was born July 15, 1963, in Whitehall, the daughter of Ralph and Billie (Haverfield) Chapman.  Tracy loved to spend time with her children and grandchildren and was a fan of Elvis Presley.She is survived by her Mother, Billie Smith of Whitehall; her father and step-mother, Ralph and Janis Chapman of Whitehall; a grandmother, Margie Chapman of Greefield; seven children, Tyler and Sierria Benkowski of Whitehall, Shane Benkowski and fiancée Valerie Dulaney of Whitehall, Alyssa Sweeten and fiancée Seth Newton of Carrolton, David Sweeten Jr. of Roodhouse, Jenna and Tommy Bishop of Whitehall, Kyle Sweeten and fiancée Chelsie hall of Whitehall, and Taylor Sweeten and fiancée Kody West of Whitehall; a brother and sister-in-law, Dale and Sarah Chapman of Roodhouse; a sister, Pam Chapman of Springfield; seventeen grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and her close friends, Georgia Ratliff  of Jacksonville and Jodi McElroy of Whitehall.A celebration of life will be held Sunday, August 3, 2014, at 2:00 pm, at First Baptist Church in Whitehall with Pastor Chad Hoesman officiating.In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Whitehall Nursing Home.Elias, Kallal and Schaaf Funeral Home in Alton has assisted the family with arrangements.
