Todd Monroe

Todd Allen Monroe, beloved son, father, nephew, cousin, and friend, courageously and peacefully passed away after a short illness on June 26, 2026.
Todd was born in Pensacola, FL to Endlyn Renee Meletti (Mackel) (Monroe), his loving and compassionate mother and devoted end of life caregiver.
Todd was preceded in death by his great-grandparents, Alfred Floyd O’Neal and Minnie Kathryn (Miller) O’Neal; his grandfather, William Mackel; his grandmother, Beatrice Monroe; and many dear friends.
Todd is survived by his gracious mother, daughter Haley Marie Monroe, Aunt Cindy Oltman, Uncle Steve Oltman, Cousins Christopher Oltman and Michael Oltman, and countless loyal friends who brought laughter and love to Todd’s life.
Todd was a marvel of contradictions. Meticulously groomed, well-dressed, well-mannered, focused, and capable, he also possessed a relaxed, “couldn’t care less,” Type-B personality. He loved a joke, a cold drink, and a good time – self-possessed qualities that endeared him to many.
A celebration of Todd Allen Monroe is planned for late July 2026.
Special thanks for the competence and compassion shown to Todd and Renee by OSF Home Health & Hospice.
The family appreciates the professional assistance of Marks Mortuary in Wood River, IL.
