Timothy Creek

Timothy Cleveland Creek, 65, of Granite City, Illinois, passed away at 2:43 a.m. on Thursday, December 18, 2025, at Memorial Care Center in Belleville, Illinois.

He was born on March 22, 1960, in Clarksville, Tennessee, a son of the late Edward and Nina (Davidson) Creek. On July 26, 1986, in Granite City, Illinois, he married the love of his life, Nita Eileen (Norris) Creek, who survives.

Timothy retired from American Steel after over 20 years of dedicated service as a leadman. He took great pride in his work and was known for his strong work ethic. In his free time, he enjoyed fishing, watching football, barbecuing for family and friends, and relaxing with old westerns. Above all else, he treasured the time spent with his grandchildren. Though stubborn at times, Timothy possessed a heart of gold and an unwavering love for his family.

In addition to his beloved wife, Nita, he is survived by three sons and two daughters-in-law, Jacob Creek of Granite City, Kyle and Sonni Creek of Granite City, and Michael and Allison Creek of Granite City; nine grandchildren, Vivian, Henry, Kadyn, Scarlett, Zeldris, Chloe, Emma, Benjamin, and Rory; three sisters and a brother-in-law, Doris and Kurt Howland of Granite City, Geneva Chastain of Granite City, and Lillie Creek of Granite City; many nieces and nephews; other extended family members; and many dear friends.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Billy Creek and Danny Creek.

In celebration of his life, visitation will be held at Irwin Chapel, 3960 Maryville Road in Granite City, Illinois, on Monday, December 29, 2025, from 5:00 p.m. until the time of the memorial service at 7:00 p.m., with Reverend Cathy Crippen officiating.
