He was born on April 25, 1976 in Alton, Illinois, son of Tim D. & Ginger L. (Hopper) Coffman, Sr.
He married Amy Myers on August 24, 2002 in Cottage Hills. She survives.
He attended Ranken Institute and received his electrician certification. He worked as a millwright/ electrician for Bodine Aluminum in St. Louis for 2 years. He was a member of the Rebels Without A Cause Car Club. He was an avid car lover, loved working on cars, going to the races and watching NASCAR races. He loved being with his family and friends.
In addition to his wife and parents of Bethalto, he survived by his daughter, Caroline E. Coffman at home; paternal grandmother, Patsey (wall) Coffman of Bethalto; his maternal great grandmother, Laura Ward of Alton; his sister and brother-in-law, Stacey & Matt Hoffmann of Bethalto; 3 nieces, Tanna & Alyssa Hoffmann and Mackenzi Copeland; his father and mother-in-law, George H. & Deborah (Myers) Hosier and a sister-in-law, Amber Hosier of East Alton.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Edgar J. Coffman and his maternal grandparents, Lyle D. Hopper Sr. and Elizabeth Carol (Ward) Hopper.
In celebration of his life, visitation will be from 4 pm to 8 pm, Tuesday, July 21, 2009 at Elias, Kallal and Schaaf Funeral Home in Bethalto where funeral services will be held at 10 am Wednesday, July 22, 2009 with Pastor Fred Church officiating.
Burial will follow at Rose Lawn Memory Gardens in Bethalto.
Memorials may be made to the Caroline Coffman Education Fund at the Bank of Edwardsville.
