Thomas "Tommy" Richard George, II, 56, formerly of the area, passed away January 5, 2024, at Presbyterian St. Luke's Hospital in Denver, CO surrounded by his loving family and best friend, Robert Premack.
He was born April 28, 1967, in Alton, the son of Jody Hall Bender and the late Thomas George.
He owned and operated his own construction company and was passionate about taking a house, car or person and giving them a second chance and a new life.
He is survived by his mother; wife, Lucy Li; daughter, Sichen Yang; brother, Christopher George; and nephew, Tyler George.
Tommy was preceded in death by his father; beloved grandparents, Elton and Lutheran Hall; and great grandparents, Gertie Dutton and Oren and Minnie Hall.
A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held at 11 am, Saturday, February 10 at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Wood River. Pastor David Schultz will officiate.
Interment will be in Upper Alton Cemetery.
Marks mortuary in Wood River is in charge of local arrangements.
