Thomas Prullage

Thomas F. Prullage, 84, passed away at 8:24 pm on Saturday, May 13, 2017 at home with his family by his side.

He was born on November 27, 1932 in Alton, the son of Louis and Martha (Kunkler) Prullage.

Thomas married Patricia (Dunkel) on August 5, 1953 at Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Alton. She survives.

He graduated from Marquette Catholic High School in 1950 and then served in the United States Army as a Sargent during the Korean Conflict. After returning to Alton, he worked as an IBEW union electrician for Wegman Electric for 44 years. He also sold real estate for 15 years at Paul Lauschke and Associates.

Tom and Pat enjoyed golf, tennis, and traveling.

Thomas is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Gregory & Nancy Prullage of Plainwell, MI; two daughters and son-in-law’s, Sue & Bill Luchtefeld of Alton, and Joan & Richard Clarkson of Alton; six grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren, three great-great grandchildren; one sister, Martha Rynders.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by twin brothers, Jim and Bob Prullage; four sisters, Pat Storm, Jean Tovosky, Kay Mathews, and Charlene Prullage.

Visitation will be from 4 to 7 pm Thursday May 18, 2017 at Elias, Kallal & Schaaf Funeral Home in Godfrey where a prayer service will be held at 3:30 pm.

A Memorial Mass will be held at 10 am Friday May 19, 2107 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church with Fr. John Wykes celebrant.

Inurnment will follow at St. Patrick’s Cemetery in Godfrey with military rites by Alton VFW Post 1308.

Memorials may be made to Marquette Catholic High School.
