Thomas Manion

Thomas E. Manion, 66, passed away at 8:30pm on Tuesday, December 25, 2018, at Integrity of Godfrey. 

He was born on August 2, 1952, in Pontiac, Illinois, the son of Leonard and Drusilla (Bumpus) Manion.  He married Elizabeth Meeden on August 19, 2006, in Alton, and she survives.  In addition to his parents and his wife, he is survived by his mother in law: Pat Meeden of Alton, his sisters in law and brothers in law: Rhonda and Steve Griffin of Rosewood Heights, Julie and Steve Hise of Alton, his brother in law and sister in law: Mark and Anita Meeden of St. Louis, Missouri, and many other extended family and friends.

Thomas was formerly employed by Manpower where he worked in various capacities.  He was a welder at the Steel Factory for five years.  He liked to support World Vision, write books, fish, make dandelion wine, and was an avid gardener.  He loved his cats.

Cremation rites have been accorded.

Memorials are suggested to the family in care of Elizabeth Manion.
