Theda Jones

Theda E. Jones, 96 of Medora, died at 10:30 A.M. on Friday, August 12, 2016 at Willow Rose Nursing Home in Jerseyville, Illinois.

She was born to the late C.C. & Iva (Plato) Grizzle in Kane, Illinois on July 18, 1920.

Theda married the late Everett Jones on February 23, 1938 in St. Charles, Missouri.

She had been an LPN for over 20 years, working in the Jerseyville area as well as in the state hospital.

Survivors include 2 daughters:  Edna Ringhausen of Jerseyville, Vickie & Terry Trusty of Carrollton, 5 grandchildren & spouses: Buddy & Charlotte Ringhausen, Leo & Patty Ringhausen, Betty Schiller, Janet & Bob Ruyle, Matt & Susanne Trusty, 10 great grandchildren; Pam & Jeremy Heitzig, Tyler & Stormy Ringhausen, Ashlyn Ringhausen, Anna Ringhausen, Brendan Schiller, Brett Schiller, Ben Ruyle, Robbie & Stephanie Ruyle, Dane & Candance Ruyle, Megan Wintheiser, 8 Great Great Grandchildren; Keegan & Alex Ringhausen, Emma & Kara Heitzig, Taylor & Chloe Ruyle, Christian Ruyle, Dane Ruyle Jr., 1 sister; Phyllis Bradfisch of Wood River, IL.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, 1 daughter; Eileen Moreland, 1 son in law; Forrest Ringhausen, 3 sisters; Doris Cunningham, Edith Zimmerman, Mary Miller

Visitation will be held from 9:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M on Monday, August 15, 2016 at Targhetta & Wooldridge Funeral Home in Medora.

Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Monday, August 15, 2016 at Targhetta & Wooldridge Funeral in Medora.

The Rev. Joel Lohr will officiate.

Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery in Jerseyville.

Memorials may be made to Bethel Baptist Church or Willow Rose Nursing Home.
