Terryl “Terri” R. Ahlmeyer, age 73, passed away at 7:07 am on Saturday, September 5, 2015 at her home, under the care of BJC Hospice with her family by her side.  

She was born on July 27, 1942 in Alton, the daughter of Roy & Emma (Ricci) Stotler.

She married Dale L. Ahlmeyer at Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church in Bethalto on February 17, 1962; he passed away January of 1993.

Terri was employed as a supervisor at the 1st National Bank of Bethalto (Mercantile and Wedge Banks).  She was a member of Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church in Bethalto and a past member of the Bethalto Rotary where she held the position of secretary for several years.  Terri enjoyed being outside and spending time with her children and grandchildren and cooking for her family.

She is survived by her mother, Emma; son and fiancée, Jeff Ahlmeyer and Winona Burrough of Bethalto; one daughter and son-in-law, Jana & Tim Pruitt of Bethalto; five grandchildren and spouse, Jennifer (Ahlmeyer) & Mike Whiteaker of Edwardsville, Tori and Elena Ahlmeyer both of Bethalto, Alexandria and Zachary Pruitt both of Bethalto; two great grandchildren, Jack & Nora; five siblings and their spouse, LynnAnn Linton of Bethalto, Ric & Nancy Stotler of Fosterburg, Sherryl Devine of Alton, Gail Stotler of Edwardsville and Tina Stotler of Lake of the Ozarks, MO; a sister-in-law and her husband, Nina & Carol Gunter of Wichita, KS and numerous nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, father and brother-in-law, Robert “Fuzz” Linton.

Visitation will be from 9:30 am until time of funeral mass at 11 am on Wednesday, September 9, 2015 at Our Lady Queen of Peace in Bethalto with Fr. Tom Liebler officiating.

Elias, Kallal and Schaaf Funeral Home in Bethalto will be in charge of arrangements.

Memorials may be given to the OLQP Angel Fund or the American Cancer Society.
