Terry Lee Buchanan, 69, died at 8:41 p.m. on Friday, April 6, 2018 at Christian Hospital North East in St. Louis, MO. He was born August 20, 1948 in Alton and raised by his mother, Virginia (Hammond) Campbell and his step father, Douglas Campbell. He graduated with an engineering degree from SIUE, worked 25 years for Cerro Copper in Sauget, IL, before later retiring from Ambitech Engineering in St. Louis. Terry was a U.S. Navy veteran. On December 16, 1967 he married his high school sweetheart Michele A. (Calvey) and she survives. Surviving are a daughter, Amy Adams of Godfrey, one granddaughter, Courtney Adams of Godfrey, one great-granddaughter, Claire of Godfrey, one half brother, Kenneth Edelen of Godfrey and one half sister, Gail Shaw of Bethalto. He was preceded in death by his parents, and his in-laws, Jack and Jean Calvey. Visitation will be from 3:00-7:00 p.m. on Monday, April 9, 2018 at Gent Funeral Home in Alton. Burial will be private.
