T. Yvonne (Lamb) Geshwender

T. Yvonne (Lamb) Geshwender, 75, passed away at 11:00 am Sunday May 16, 2010 with her family by her side.

She was born on September 15, 1934 in Fontaine, Arkansas, the daughter of T.H. & Maude E. (Hall) Lamb.

She married Frank Joseph Geshwender on August 17, 1974, in Maryville, IL spending 34 years of marriage. He passed away on October 6, 2008.

Yvonne was a Licensed Practical Nurse. She was a member of Queen City Chapter #697 Order of the Eastern Star of Fairview Heights, IL, past Matron 1970. She was a member of the Bunker Hill Baptist Church and the Friends Forever Club. She enjoyed working with the elderly, being with her family and friends and especially going to her grandchildren’s activities.

She is survived by her children and their spouses, John & Cris Munro of Glen Carbon, Jim Munro of Troy, Jerry & Sherry Munro of Dorsey and Jane & Jess Crum of Edwardsville; her grandchildren, Jeremy, Joel & Heather, Amanda, Joshua, Colin, Tavis & Sara, Brian & Ashley, Melissa & Aaron, Danny and Nicole and six great grandchildren. Mikayla, Jacob, Jonathan, Aubrie, Caroline & Benjamin; three sisters and a brother-in-law, Inez & Tom Bridges of Belleville, Javine Gibson of St. Louis, MO & Sue Blow of Collinsville; a brother, R. Stanley Finley of Belleville, and many nieces, nephews & cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.

Visitation will be from 4 pm to 8 pm on Thursday, May 20, 2010 at Elias, Kallal & Schaaf Funeral Home in Bethalto. Visitation will continue on Friday, May 21, 2010 from 9 am until 10 am at the funeral home.

Graveside services will be at 11:15 am on Friday, May 21, 2010 at Jefferson Barracks Cemetery in St. Louis, Missouri with Pastor Glenn Sparks officiating.

Memorials may be made to the Bunker Hill Baptist Church.
