Susanne M. “Susie” Koberczky, age 78, of Highland, IL, passed away Monday, October 12, 2026, at her home. She was born on January 24, 1948, in East St. Louis, IL, the daughter of the late Dale and Bernice Agnes (nee Woltering) Mueller.
On February 26, 1966, she married Anton Koberczky in Highland. He preceded her in death on December 8, 2019. She is also preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Mary Jones.
Susie is survived by her children, Randy (Ann) Koberczky of Dexter, MO, Craig (Lisa Kapp) Koberczky of Highland, and David Koberczky of Highland; grandchildren, Thomas Koberczky, Kendra Smith and Dennie Koberczky; step grandchildren, Sierra and Stephanie; great grandchildren, Charles, Jewel, Brian, Jesse, Emma, Hayley and Tyler; brothers, Ronald (Sue) Mueller of Troy and Tom (s.o, Gary) Mueller of Minneapolis, MN.
Susie’s life was defined by her deep love for her family and her gentle, giving spirit. As a dedicated homemaker, family was everything to her, and nothing brought her greater joy than spending precious time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A woman of faith, Susanne was a devoted member of the First Christian Church in Greenville, IL. She also loved giving back to her community, thoroughly enjoying her time spent volunteering at Highland Grade School. In her quiet moments, she found simple pleasure and peace in coloring. Susanne’s legacy of warmth, kindness, and unwavering devotion will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, plants, or other gifts, memorials may be made to Highland CUSD5 Angel Fund and will be received by mail at Moss Funeral Home, 1501 9th St., Highland, IL 62249, which is serving the family.
