Susan Thompson

Susan Rose Thompson, nee Seppi, 72, passed away peacefully on July 30, 2025, at BJC Memorial Hospital, Belleville, IL, following a recent illness. A lifelong resident of the Belleville area, Susan was the beloved daughter of the late Albert and Betty, nee Schickedanz, Seppi.

Susan, known affectionately as Susie, was a devoted wife, sister, aunt, and friend. She married Ronald Thompson at Hope United Church of Christ in Belleville, and together they shared over 46 years of love, laughter, and companionship. St. Louis Cardinals, bakery treats, dining out, and her role as a proud “doggie mom” to their Maltese dogs: Dagwood, Snow White, and Sugar, were just a few of the many things that brought her happiness. She was known for her gentle spirit.

Susan is survived by her loving husband, Ronald Thompson; her brother, Frank (Kimberly) Seppi of Millstadt, IL; her sister, Kathryn (Thomas) Parker of Madison, WI; her nephew, Adam J. Seppi; her nieces, Ellen and Claire Parker; and her brother-in-law, Richard Thompson.

She will be remembered as a cherished daughter, sister, wife, aunt, and friend whose kindness touched many lives.
