Susan Rae (Dickinson) Baker, 70, passed away at 6:45 pm Tuesday July 16, 2013 at The Cedars of Town and Country, MO with her family by her side.
She was born on January 10, 1943 in Alton, the daughter of the late Carl & Elsie (Vandergriff) Dickinson.
Susan married Billy Dean Baker of Alton on November 10, 1967. He survives.
She worked at Owens Illinois Glass Works, the Alton School District, and loved ceramics, animals, birds, and NASCAR.
Susan is survived by her husband, Billy of Alton; three daughters and a son, and their spouses, Amanda (Matt) Holtzclaw of Powder Springs, GA, Kevan (Andrea) Baker of Alton, Jamie (Gene) Middleton of Godfrey, and Meghan (Nathan) Schrumpf of Godfrey; nine grandchildren, Sara and Abby Holtzclaw, Emily and Peyton Baker, Grace and Jack Middleton, Hilary, Lydia and Chloe Schrumpf; three brothers and one sister, Carl Dickinson (Carolyn Wallace) of Godfrey, James (Vicki) Dickinson of Alton, Rebecca (Forrest) Wulf of Godfrey, and Kevan (Cindy) Dickinson of Wood River, IL and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 pm Thursday July 18, 2013 at Staten-Fine Funeral Home in Alton where funeral services will be held at 11 am Friday July 19, 2013.
Inurnment will be private at Valhalla Memorial Park Cemetery in Godfrey.
Memorials may go to the American Diabetes Association or donations to Southwestern Illinois Dialysis in East Alton.
