Susan R. Green, 67, of Wood River, passed away on Thursday, October 29, 2026, at Alton Memorial Hospital.
She was born on November 11, 1959, in Wood River, the daughter of Frank E. and Delores M. (Hogle) McPherson, Sr.
Susan worked as a bread vendor locally for Lewis Bakery out of Indiana for over 20 years. She enjoyed crocheting, Winnie the Pooh, and cooking, soup was her specialty. Most of all she loved spending time with her friends and family, especially her grandchildren.
She is survived by her daughter, Krystal Million; and three grandchildren, Kyle Shannon, Kylee Million, and Kinsley Million; sisters, Brenda (Kenneth) Jackson, and Pam Dillion; as well as many other extended family members.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and siblings, Gerald McPherson, Frank McPherson, Jr., and Vickie McPherson-Heitz.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, November 4, 2026, from 4 pm until service at 6 pm, at Elias, Kallal and Schaaf Funeral Home in Bethalto. Pastor Ken Buttry will officiate.
Memorials are suggested to the funeral home to help with final expenses.
