Sue Determan

   Sue Ellen Determan, age 75, of Wood River, Illinois passed away on Thursday,

7:15 p.m. with family at her side at OSF St. Anthony’s Health Center in Alton.She was born on October 29, 1942 in East St. Louis, and was the daughter of the late James C. and Dorma O. (nee: Gavette) Wells.  She married David R. Determan on May 29, 1969 in Wood River.  Sue was a member of First Christian Church in Wood River, and was affectionately known as momma and was a dear friend to many and will be remembered for her love of animals, crafts, rock-n-roll music, and spending time with family and friends.  In addition to her husband of 48 years, she is also survived by2 daughters; Jay (Ron) Kemp and Jill (Chris) Rosecrans both of Wood River1 son; Dax (Ronnie) Determan of Florissant, MissouriA brother; Steven J. (Carolyn) Wells of Staunton5 grandchildren; Jesse Kemp, Carly Rosecrans, Pearl Determan, Daisy Determan,and Dax “Wolfie”  Determana great-grandchild; Tilly Rose Davidson,other extended family and many friends.In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by anephew; Adam J. Wells   In accordance to Sue’s wishes, there will be no visitation or services and cremation rites will be accorded.   Memorials may be made to Hope Animal Rescues in Godfrey.Staten-Fine Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.An on-line guestbook may be found at www.staten-fine.com
