Sue E. Walton 73, went to meet her lord and savior on November 16, 2018. She was born on February 6, 1945 to Robert and Charlotte (Seago) Walton in Alton, Illinois.
She retired after many years from the Alton School District #11, ending her career as the Administrative Assistant to the Superintendent of Schools.
Sue was a faithful member of Messiah Lutheran Church of Alton where she served on the Church Council and was an inspiration for all with her strong faith.
Sue was a talented artist whom enjoyed painting, flower arranging, and gourd carving. Traveling the country with her best friends was a favorite pastime of hers.
She is survived by her sons, Jason L. Cook of Tarpon Springs Florida and Evan J. Cook of Manorville, New York. Two grandsons, Ryan Welling of Alton and Derick Welling of Fosterburg. A great-granddaughter, Violet Welling, of Alton. A sister, Jo Ann (Paul) Stilwell of Godfrey, Illinois. And many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a granddaughter, Hannah Welling.
Sue will be dearly missed by family and friends. She will be cremated and buried in a private graveside service. A celebration of life service will be held at a later date at Messiah Lutheran Church in Alton.
