Steven Jay Coryell, 58, passed away Sunday, December 29, 2024.
Born Oct. 17, 1966 in Alton, he was a son of Elmer W. “Wimp” Coryell and Sally J. (Neutzman) Coryell.
Steve was a “hardware extraordinaire” for 14 years at the Alton Home Depot. He loved his Home Depot family and was close to many coworkers. He enjoyed listening to music (loudly), riding his electric bike, and loved his El Camino from the early 1970’s.
He is survived by his mother, Sally Coryell of Alton; a sister, Deborah and her husband Stephen Webb of Godfrey; a brother, Douglas Coryell and his husband David Finley of Glen Carbon; nieces and nephew, Teresa, Matt, and Amanda and her husband Adam; great nieces and nephews, Aiden, Ajai, Calista, Willow, Eli and Delilah; and numerous cousins, aunts and uncles.
He was preceded in death by his dear father, Elmer Coryell; a brother, Dennis Coryell; and his grandparents, Edna Coryell and Donald and Virginia Neutzman.
Visitation will be Saturday, Jan. 4 at Paynic Home for Funerals from 1 p.m. until services begin at 3 p.m.
