Steven A. Gold, Sr., 46, died 2:01 p.m. Thursday, February 26, 2015 in the emergency room at Gateway Regional Medical Center.
Born September 24, 1978 in Sommerset, NJ, the son of Lynn MacFarland Hatfield of Roxana and Lance Michael Gold of Wood River.
He was self-employed in the construction field.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by paternal grandmother, Mary Alice Gold of Wood River; Maternal grandmother, Ruby Travis of Benton, KY; fiance', Katie Williams of Granite City; son, Steven Gold, Jr.; two daughters, Savannah and Myley Gold; and three brothers, Kevin Gold of East Alton, Brad Gold of Cottage Hills and Jarred Gold of Alton.
Preceding in death were grandparents, Larry Gold, C.R. MacFArland and Edna MacFarland.
A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Marks Mortuary in Wood River. Rev. Jack Hyden will officiate.
Memorials are being accepted by the family for the educational expenses of the children.
