Stella Marcella "Marcie Woods, 76, died at 12:50 a.m. Thursday, August 13, 2009 at St. Anthony's Health Center.
Born August 22, 1932 in McClure, IL, she was the daughter of Floyd and Josephine (Lindsey) Rudd. She was employed in the dietary department at St. Joseph's Hospital for 25 years. Surviving are two sons, Charles Kendall Woods and Chris Wyrick, her dearest cousin, Lela Jarrett of Godfrey, and a very special friend Janice Ligon of Alton, six grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. She will be sadly missed. She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, Wilma Rudd and Joyce Phillips, and three brothers, Charles, Albert, and Alvin Rudd. At her request, she was cremated.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Salvation Army or the National Parkinson Foundation. Gent Funeral Home in Alton is in charge of arrangements.
