Sonya Hilderbrand

Sonya Lourdes Hilderbrand, 76, of Gillespie, IL, died at Gillespie Health and Rehab Center, Gillespie, IL on Thursday, January 11, 2024 at 8:37 am.  She was born February 11, 1947, in Mexico to Fernando Salamaca & Anna Ugalde Salamaca.  She married Roy E. Hilderbrand on October 5, 2004 in Benld, IL.  She was retired after having been a cashier for Walmart.  Sonya enjoyed cross stitching, reading, going to movies, music and traveling.  She is survived by her spouse, Roy Hilderbrand of Gillespie, IL, children, Wendy (Earl) Gibson of CA, Wilbert (Heather) Boring III of Monroe City, MO, several grandchildren, great grandchildren, siblings, Robert (Tina) Canseco of California, Miriam (Duarte) Benevides of CA, Bianka (Gene) Karger of FL.  Sonya was preceded in death by her parents, brother, Frank Canseco.  Friends may call on Wednesday, January 17, 2024 at Gillespie Methodist Church from 12:00 pm until 1:00 pm.  Funeral services are Wednesday, January 17, 2024 at 1:00 pm at Gillespie Methodist Church.  Burial will be at Gillespie Cemetery, Gillespie, IL.  Memorials are suggested to Gillespie Caring Center.  Anyone wishing to send an online condolence may do so at www.kravanyafuneral.com.
