Sister Timothy M. Malone, 82, passed away Friday, March 3, 2017 at Breeze Park Care Center in St. Charles.
Born September 18, 1934 in Alton, she was the daughter of Luke and S. Rose (Dipiazzo) Malone.
She received her formal education from St. Mary's Catholic School and Marquette Catholic High School. Sr. Tim entered the School Sisters of Notre Dame Convent and graduated from Notre Dame College in St. Louis with degrees in Sociology and Philosophy. She achieved Masters degrees in Education and Counseling from Arkansas State University.She is survived by her sister, Laura Romano of St. Charles, MO; sister-in-law, Mary Malone of Wood River; numerous local nieces, nephews and friends; as well as many friends in San Diego, CA and Las Vegas, NV.
Preceding in death were her parents; two brothers, Joseph Malone and Tony Malone, Sr; and a sister, Grace Elwell.
The family is especially thankful to the staff at Breeze Park Care Center.
A Memorial Service will be held at 1 p.m., Saturday, March 11 at Marks Mortuary in Wood River. Father Donald Wolford will officiate.
Private burial will follow at a later date.
