Shirley Jean Bettcher, 74, passed away at 9 am on Wednesday, January 1, 2020 at Evelyn’s House in Creve Coeur. She was born on August 21, 1945, in Alton, the daughter of Frank Harold and Agnes Laticia (McCogan) Lankford. She married Anthony Wayne Bettcher in 1989 in Las Vegas, Nevada, and he preceded her in death. Survivors include a son and his fiancé: Steven Anthony Hubbs and Crystal Mohr of Pontoon Beach, a daughter and son in law: Bobbie Jean and Joe Cabral of Lathrop, California, eight grandchildren: Steven Anthony Hubbs, Jr., Adam Tyler Cabral, Ryann Christopher Cabral, Thomas James Hubbs, Ethan Hubbs, Dagen Hubbs, Carson Hubbs, Carter Hubbs, a great grandchild: Madison Avery Hubbs, three sisters and brothers in law: Rosella June and Curtis Hooten of Fredericktown, Missouri, Suzanne Lynn and John Kiesler of East Alton, Frankie May and Andy Mellenthin of Moro, many nieces, nephews, and other extended family and friends.
In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by a brother: Harell Lankford.
In accordance with her wishes, cremation rites will be accorded.
