She was born February 11, 1962, in Litchfield, IL to Simon Pomatto & Ruth Ann Hartnett Pomatto. She married James C. Caveny on July 15, 1989 in Gillespie, IL. She was worked in maintenance for the Macoupin County Sheriff's Department. Sherri enjoyed cats, dogs, and Bingo. She is survived by her mother, Ruth Ann Pomatto of Gillespie, IL, spouse, James Caveny of Gillespie, IL, brothers, Dwayne Pomatto (Lisa) of Gillespie, IL, Ron (Jo Ann) Pomatto of Gillespie, IL, niece, Molly, nephew, Anthony and mother in law, Billie Caveny of Gillespie, IL. Sherri was preceded in death by her father. Friends may call on Thursday, February 8, 2024 at Kravanya Funeral Home in Gillespie from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm. Funeral services are Friday, February 9, 2024 at 10:00 am at Kravanya Funeral Home in Gillespie, IL. Burial will be at Holy Cross Cemetery, Gillespie, IL.
