Sherman Edgar “Spanky” Spangler, 76, passed away at 9 a.m. Tuesday, July 3, 2018 at his home.

Born June 10, 1942 in Valleys Mine, MO, he was a son of Woodrow and Hazel (Cantrell) Spangler.

He married Margaret E. (Rushton) Spangler July 23, 2002.  She survives.

The U.S. Army veteran worked as a semi truck driver for Olin Corp, retiring gin 2003.  He loved to play his guitar and wrote several of his own songs.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children Vicky Johnson, Scott, David and Tina Spangler; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; sisters Edna Kuehne, Betty Bender, Tammy Anderson, and brothers Richard, Billy, Chester and Johnny Spangler; many nieces and nephews and brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.
