Shawn Michael Quinn, 43, died at 8:23 p.m., Tuesday, February 27, 2024 at Willow Rose Rehab & Health Care Center in Jerseyville.
He was born in Jerseyville, Illinois on May 2, 1980 and was the son of the late Dennis Greer and Rosalie Quinn.
Shawn spent the early years of his childhood in Springfield, Illinois, prior to the family settling back in Jerseyville, where he was a standout athlete at Jersey Community High School.
He spent the majority of his working career as a Truck Driver, and was an avid outdoorsman who loved spending time fishing as well as motorcycle riding.
To know Shawn was to love him. He was fiercely devoted to his family and his friends, and would do anything in his power to let you know just how special you were to him.
While Shawn’s life drastically changed following his freak accident on October 18, 2021, he remained determined to live each and every day with a resilient outlook on life and a deeper love and commitment to those he cared about.
Surviving are his two children, who were his greatest blessings in this life, Ayden Quinn, age 16 and Ashlynn Quinn, age 9; his step-father, David Young of Kane; his siblings, Jennifer (Gary Jr.) Scott of Jerseyville, Christina Molloy of Jerseyville, Deanna Greer of East Alton, Daniel Kristopher Goff of Dow, David Young Jr. of Kane, April Stelbrink of Kane and Patricia Greer of Jerseyville; along with a host of dear friends.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Chris Quinn.
A Celebration of Life will be planned for a later date.
Crawford Funeral Home in Jerseyville has been entrusted with arrangements.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the time of funeral services at noon on Friday, March 1, 2024, at Crawford Funeral Home in Jerseyville. Frank DeWitt will officiate.
Burial will be in Scenic Hill Cemetery in Grafton.
Memorials may be given to Riverbend Humane Society in Jerseyville.
