Sharon Sue Stevenson, 78, passed away Friday, August 15, 2025 at her home.
Sharon was born Nov. 25, 1946 in Alton. She graduated from Civic Memorial High School in 1964. She retired after 37 years in the forensics unit of Alton Mental Health Center.
A NASCAR and Pittsburgh Steelers fan, Sharon also enjoyed camping and spending time outdoors. She was a very kind-hearted friend to many who will miss her.
Surviving are two sons, Jim (Heidi Brunstein) Rigney of Wood River and Ronald Hooper of Granite City; 3 grandchildren, Jeff Hooper, Amanda Hooper, and Tabitha Rhodes; and one great grandson, Rolen.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Wayne and Christeva Lynn (Miller) Stevenson and several brothers and sisters.
A celebration of Sharon’s life will be held at a later date.
