Sharon C. Ewen, 76, passed away at 8:05 am Friday May 12, 2017 at Calhoun Nursing and Rehab.
She was born on June 21, 1940 in Alton, IL the daughter of Clyde J. & Mary Carlene (Clendenny) Capps.
Sharon married James E. Ewen on February 16, 1963 in Hardin. He survives.
She was a member of the Church of Christ in Mozier, the Calhoun Farm Bureau in Hardin and served on the Fair Board for many years.
Sharon loved to go antiquing, was an avid reader and enjoyed working in Capps General Store.
She is survived by her husband, James Ewen of Kampsville; one brother and sister-in-law, Danny & Ida Capps of Jerseyville; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Susan & Jim Klunk of Alton, and Marilyn & Johnny Johnson of Rochester, IL; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Monday May 15, 2017 at Gress, Kallal, and Schaaf Funeral Home where funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday May16, 2017.
Burial will follow at Summit Grove Cemetery in Kampsville.
