Shannon Sutton

Shannon S. Sutton, 49, passed away at 12:20pm on Friday, December 30, 2016, at Anderson Hospital. She was born on December 29, 1967, in Alton, the daughter of Thomas Lovsey Sr. of Worden and the late Carol S. (Manahan) Lovsey. She married Jeff Sutton on June 24, 1995, in Wood River, and he survives. In addition to her father and her husband, she is survived by one daughter and son in law: Allie and Jonathan Walker of Roxana, one son: Caleb Sutton of the home, six grandchildren: Ari, Lara, Isaiah, Gideon, Mae, Amelia, a sister and brother in law: Melissa and Mike Neislein of Collinsville, Illinois, one brother and sister in law: Thomas and Jenny Lovsey Jr. of Mt. Olive, Illinois, her nephews and nieces: Brennon Appel, Kendell Melton, Taylor Melton, Morgan Lovsey, Christine Weller, Nick Sutton and his wife: Elizabeth, her father in law and mother in law: Jim and Rita Sutton of South Roxana, and her sister in law: Linda Weller of Wood River.

Shannon was employed at Anderson Hospital as the medical staff manager for 13 years. She loved the St. Louis Blues and NHRA Racing where she rooted for Ron Capps. She was a member of the South Roxana Assembly of God Church.In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by a sister: Stacey Lynn Lovsey.

In celebration of her life, visitation will be from 4pm to 8pm on Tuesday, January 3, 2017, at Pitchford Funeral Home in Wood River. Funeral services will be held at 10am on Wednesday, January 4, 2017, at the funeral home. Following the funeral services and in accordance with her wishes, cremation rites will be accorded.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the Caleb Sutton Educational Fund with checks payable to Jeff Sutton and will be accepted at the funeral home.
