Scott R. Branch, 60, of Bethalto, passed away on Thursday, February 25, 2021, at his residence with his family by his side, under the care of Vitas Hospice.
He was born on August 13, 1960, in Wood River, IL, the son of James R. and Mildred V. (McNealy) Branch. He married Deborah D. Lamoreaux on June 18, 2005, at the Vaughn Hill Church of Christ.
Scott was a crane operator for Stein Steel Mill Services until his retirement in 2007. He enjoyed hunting, going on drives and antiquing. Scott also enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.
Along with his wife, Deborah, he is survived by his children, Amy Branch of Wood River, James Branch of Wood River, Brandan Branch of Bethalto, Jason Branch of Bethalto, Sarah and Cody Conner of Du Quoin, and Jimmy Murphy of Bethalto; a sister, Mary and Wayne Self of Brighton; and seventeen grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Mildred and James; and two sisters, Linda Cavasher and Kathy Allison.
Visitation will be on Sunday, February 28, 2021, from 2 to 5 pm at Elias, Kallal and Schaaf Funeral Home in Bethalto.
Memorials can be made to the funeral home to help with expenses.
