Scott Lee Northcutt, 53, of Moro, passed away on Thursday, December 5, 2019 at 8:44 pm at Barnes Jewish Hospital.
He was born on August 1, 1966 in Tacoma, WA a son of Marvin Northcutt and Victoria Kunigelis. On July 23, 1988 Scott married Kelly Martin in Bunker Hill.
Scott served his country in the United States Army National Guard.
He was a member of Lifebrook Church, and enjoyed spending time with his family. Scott was an avid Cardinal Baseball fan and loved anything to do with sea turtles, horses and all things military.
He was survived by his wife, Kelly Northcutt of Moro, IL; his mother and step father, Victoria and Dave Gosch of Bunker hill, IL; two children, Jasmine Hutson (A.J.) of Wood River and Dakota Northcutt (Cassidy) of Collinsville; a brother, Brian Northcutt of Jamestown, TN; a sister, Elizabeth Mayfield (Mark) of Edwardsville; a mother-in-law, Roberta Martin; two sisters-in-law, Candiss and Kathy Martin; and several nieces and nephews.
Scott was preceded in death by his father; grandparents, Alice and Marvin Northcutt, Charles and Bernida Bannister, and Lawrence and Virginia Gosch; a nephew, Caleb Mayfield; a father-in-law, David Martin; and several aunts and uncles.
A Celebration of Life will be held Tuesday, December 10, 2019 from 5:00 pm until the service at 7:00 pm at the First Christian Church in Bethalto, IL.
Memorials may be made to the Loggerhead Marine Life Center.
