Sarah Wolcott

Sarah Elizabeth Wolcott, 74, died with her loving family by her side at 2:14 p.m. Sunday, January 30, 2022, at Robings Manor in Brighton. She is now at peace after her long battle with a rare type of dementia known as FTD (Frontotemporal Degeneration).

Born November 13, 1947, in Westfield, Massachusetts, she was the daughter of Alan Phelps and Sally Ann (Tift) Wolcott. Sarah’s work in life included being a mother, school teacher, librarian, and hospital chaplain. She was an avid reader, religious scholar, and animal lover.

Surviving is a son, Peter Hussey (Jen Cline) of Alton, and three grandchildren, Caroline, William, Charles, and “baby” Hussey (due in June); sister, Laura Church of Columbia, MO.

No services are scheduled at this time.
