Sandra Detienne

Sandra L. Detienne, age 79, of Edwardsville, IL passed away on Saturday, August 22, 2026, at her home surrounded by family.

Sandra was born on January 23, 1947, in East St. Louis, IL, the daughter of the late Gloria (Schrepferman) Stack & John Gili, Sr. Sandra married Thomas R. Detienne on May 2, 1964, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Edwardsville.

Besides her husband of 62 years, Sandra is survived her two children, Theresa Grazier, of Collinsville, IL, and Thomas Detienne & wife Erin, of Edwardsville, IL; four grandchildren, Shawn Grazier & wife Joanna, Brian Grazier & wife Sarah, Mia Detienne, & Ellie Detienne; and two great grandchildren, Liam Grazier, & Sadie Grazier.

Besides her parents, Sandra was preceded in death by her two brothers, John Gili, Jr., and Edward Stack, Jr.; a sister, Darlena Allen; and a son in law, Walter Grazier.

Sandra enjoyed gardening and playing bunco. She was also an avid soccer fan and enjoyed watching her grandchildren play. Most of all she loved her family, her children, and grandchildren.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, August 27, 2026, at Weber & Rodney Funeral Home in Edwardsville from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm. A graveside service will be held on Friday, August 28, at 10:00 am at College Hill Cemetery, 601 N Alton St, Lebanon, IL 62254.
