Samuel “SuperSam” Sheff, 23, passed away Thursday, April 27, 2017, at Memorial Hospital in Springfield, Illinois.Sam was born on December 8, 1993, in Alton, the son of Cletus John and Terrie (Denham) Sheff.As a child, Sam spent a lot of time playing at the Cottage Hills VFW. His family and friends will miss him dearly.Survivors include his mother, Terrie of Cottage Hills; one son, Tristan Johnathan Sheff; his partner, Judy Wilson of Gillispie; two step children, Sandra Wilson and Aiden Gillis; four siblings, Cletus J. (Heather) Sheff Jr., Nikki Sheff, Josh Squier, Christopher Sheff; and maternal grandfather, Charles Denham.He was preceded in death by his father, Cletus; maternal grandmother, Patsy Denham; and paternal grandparents, Virginia and John Dooley.Visitation will be from 1 to 4 pm on Sunday, April 30, 2017, at Elias, Kallal and Schaaf Funeral Home in Bethalto.Funeral service will be held at 11 am on Monday, May 1, 2017, at the funeral home with Pastor Charles West officiating.Burial will follow at Short Cemetery in Cottage Hills.Memorials may be made to SAHD (Survivors Against Heroin Dealers).An online condolence and guest book may be found at www.eliaskallalandschaaf.com .
